Hi, I’m Annie.

I’m a freelance editor, writer and translator.

I’ve recently started writing a daily newsletter called The Corona Journal; I hope it will make you laugh a bit and maybe feel less alone. Don’t forget to like and subscribe.

I edit travel guides for Rough Guides and novels for Bluemoose Books. Before that, I edited legal stuff (a technical term) for Thomson Reuters.

I’m a travel writer and book reviewer; you can find examples of my work here and here.

I also speak French, Italian and German.

My hobbies include breakfast, lunch, dinner and cuddling puppies.

If you’re lucky you’ll get the right publisher for your novel. If you’re very lucky you’ll get the perfect editor. I was very lucky. I got Annie Warren. At every stage in the process she understood exactly what was needed to make it a better book. Meticulous, totally engaged, and great fun to work with.

Ian Macpherson, author of Sloot

Working with Annie on my first novel The Moss House was a wonderful experience. Annie’s enthusiasm for the project, story and characters and her meticulous editing took the novel to another level. I’m so proud of the book and Annie’s work is a big part of that. I can’t wait to work with her again.

Clara Barley, author of The Moss House

Annie is everything you want in an editor, the perfect first reader who builds wonderful relationships with her authors. She is professional, delivers her edits on time and continues to be an integral part of an award winning editorial team.
